The project „Das Böse ist ein Eichhörnchen“ („Evil is a Squirrel“) of the Intermedia class – begun in autumn 2007 under the direction of Prof. Alba D’Urbano and Franz Alken in collaboration with curator Angelika Richter – was concerned with the issue of „Evil“ and was completed in January 2009 with the exhibition of the same name.

The exhibition „Evil is a Squirrel“ presented works by students as well as positions by invited artists. The works were shown in the long hallways of Leipzig district court, a site representing the scope of the various media: the exhibition comprised performances inside he courtroom as well as in public areas, video works, sculptural works and paintings.
A comprehensive programme of films and lectures at the Federal Administrative Court accompanied the exhibition.
