“Well, youu (doh – been caught at the edge of the page somewhat, nah:) might actually not wonder about any colours at all; well, where the dust won’t settle, you may as well settle in nicely, bask even. And then again really not, as and how with those eyebrows closely together, in this place, erm – well.”
While displaying an image over the double side of a book, another limit is created for the image in the middle. Things that were once in their natural position in the composition, are now suddenly intersected or separated. Depending on the character and use of the book, the border intersecting the image is larger or smaller, and so the image appears in a different light with each view. I use these small changes for my journey. I enter a flock of ducks with more and more new photographs of an image. Through the stringing together of individual images, an impression is created as though the ducks were going against the border that was being pulled across them, in the hope of having their once trusted neighbour on their side again.
